LA-Lit, co-hosted and co-produced by Stephanie Rioux and Mathew Timmons and with the help of Jason Brown of Superbunker, is recorded at Betalevel (behind 963 N. Hill St. in an alleyway in Chinatown, Los Angeles). LA-Lit is a podcast focusing on writers in the LA area, and reflecting the shifting nature of Los Angeles as a place, this may mean writers that have lived in LA all their lives or writers who happen to be in LA for a couple of days. LA-Lit is a place for the literary culture of Los Angeles to develop and exhibit itself.

LA-Lit1b was recorded in late August 2005 with Ara Shirinyan, editor of Make Now Press. Ara read from his work Syria Is In The World, which is being published by Factory School in early 2006. The beginning of the interview is archived as LA-Lit1a.
